The idea behind this piece

Bauhaus is a term created by the German architect Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus School in 1919. It is a combination of two German words: "bau," meaning to build, and "haus," meaning house: to build a house.

The idea of building a house, based on the aesthetics and functionality of Bauhaus, aims to merge the beauty of design and materials with their utility, creating spaces where each form and element serves a specific function.

On the other side of the world, Japanese architecture was already creating spaces where simplicity and a connection to the environment were essential. Both seek to create places that are more than just spaces; they aim to become experiences.

The story behind the Bauhaus tee

This T-shirt was created from a desire to go beyond mass-made fashion, to make something that isn’t driven by trends, but by ideas you can wear. We believe aesthetics gain meaning when there’s a concept, a story, behind them. From Japan to Germany, it reinterprets the Bauhaus belief that form and purpose should live as one.

What is Blau?

Blau is an independent project born in Ibiza, built around design as a way of thinking.

  • Crafted quality

Hand screen-printed pieces made in Ibiza.
Small variations make each garment unique.
Less quantity, more care in every detail.

  • Wear an idea

We know how frustrating it is to look for clothes with meaning and feel that everything looks the same. At Blau, every piece carries a concept with real depth, beyond aesthetics, so you can express yourself without saying a word.

  • Limited production

We don’t produce in mass or release constantly. Each piece is made in small series, so only a few people will own the same garment.
